[Chu State Bronze Pillar Button “Dafu” You]
Bronze Pillar Button “Dafu” You, Warring States, Chu, printed 5.4 × 6.1 cm, through height 11.7 cm
You are made of copper, with a column button. There is a negative line boundary bar on your side, and a vertical vertical bar in the middle of the printing surface to separate the left and right characters of the printing. The printed text is in ancient Chinese of the Warring States Period, in white, and read horizontally from the left. The printed style is broad and has the charm of calligraphy. Although the printing surface is large, the layout is not scattered, and the printing text is small but full of charm. The lower part of the word “fu” in the seal is from “shell”, which coincides with the meaning of “fu”, which is quite characteristic. The size of this print is relatively rare in your prints of the same period. Unlike other perforated buttons that need to wear ribbons, this button is a long cylindrical shape, which is just suitable for grasping with one hand
This is the official of the State of Chu during the Warring States Period. During the Warring States Period, the State of Chu was equipped with large, executive, prefectural and high treasuries, all of which were institutions in charge of storing various materials or manufacturing.
