[Qin’s Bronze Nose Button “the seal of the craftsman”]
Bronze Nose Button “the seal of the craftsman”, the Warring States Period, Qin, printed face 2.1 × 2.1 cm, pass height 0.7 cm
Printed copper cast, nose button. The printed text is in Qin and seal characters, in white, and read from the top right. The characters of the State of Qin have obvious characteristics. The printed text turns round and smooth, and all vertical strokes are sagging. In particular, the last half line of the character “Yin” is folded horizontally and dragged downward, which is the characteristic of Qin Inscription. The Qin State is located in Guanxi, and its economic and cultural development is relatively slow compared with the eastern countries. Its characters follow the orthodox characters of the Zhou Dynasty, with little innovation. The small seal script font issued after the unification of the Qin Dynasty is based on the Qin typeface. The official seal of the State of Qin is also called “seal”. This is the official seal of the chief craftsman of the State of Qin.
