In the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, most of the bronzes were decorated with the patterns of pilferage and lotus and thunder, but the later bronzes were basically not seen. In the Warring States period, these two patterns were also used in jade seals, and were occasionally seen in high-quality jade seals of the Han Dynasty. It is rare for ancient Chinese jade seals to have patterns carved on their bodies. This Warring States jade seal has both of these patterns, which is even more rare. Moreover, this jade seal is well preserved and is a rare treasure.
