[Yuding]
Yuding is 26.5cm high, 22.2cm wide and 3.76kg in weight
The tripod has a deep round belly, three columnar feet and two straight ears. The lower part of the mouth is decorated with animal face ribbons, with a row of flag patterns on the top of the ribbons
There are four lines of inscription on the inner wall with 30 characters:
Only the Clown in October and February, which means that
is presented to the king “0008”, and the king “0008” is given to
Mansi. For King Yang
[0008], it is used as the father’s treasure tripod
The main idea of the inscription: On the day of Ding Chou in December, Yu is dedicated to the queen’s ornament, and the queen gives Yu Meisi. In order to thank the Queen for her kindness, this tripod is specially made to commemorate the dead father Ren
