Father Wuzhou

[Father Wuzhou Jue]

Father Wuzhou Jue was 23 cm high in the late Shang Dynasty
It has a long round belly, a round bottom, a front flow and a rear flow, an umbrella-shaped column on the flow side, a beast’s head and a three-tapered foot. The body of the weapon has a leaf ridge, and both sides are decorated with animal face patterns, supplemented by triangle patterns and thunder patterns. The inscription “Fu Wu Zhou” on the outside of the stream and the inscription “Zuo Zun” on one column indicate that “Zhou” is the owner of the bronze ware and is the Lord for the sacrifice of “Fu Wu”
During the Shang and Zhou dynasties, “respect” refers to both a wine container and a general name for wine ritual vessels (common name). The inscription “respect” on this object is the second meaning
The flow of the count and the inscription on the column form a complete content, which is very rare among the count.
