This ornament is trapezoidal, with a convex animal head on the top, large ears, ring eyes, mouth curling inwards, like a bird’s beak, and eagle wings and claws carved from the female line beside the animal head. The middle part of the trim is raised like a tile surface, and the lower part is like a handle. There are two raised string patterns, with a slightly wide bottom edge and a multi-ribbed shape
A work similar to this jade ornament was unearthed at the Qianzhang Site in Tengxian County, Shandong Province, but the embossed animal head has been lost. This jade animal jewelry piece is the most complete one of the same kind found at present, and it was found earlier, which is of great significance to the study of the design content, use method and processing technology of this kind of jade jewelry.
