Painted pottery bowl

[Colored pottery bowl]

Colored pottery bowl is a type of Majiayao culture, with a height of 9.6 cm and a caliber of 21.3 cm
The bowl should be closed at the mouth, folded at the edge, bulged at the belly, and gradually closed below the belly, with a small flat bottom. The orange-yellow argillaceous pottery has a smooth surface. The inside, outside and mouth of the bowl are decorated with black color. The interior of the bowl is a vortex pattern centered on the bottom, the outer wall is a wave pattern, and the mouth edge is three groups of rhombus grid patterns. With full shape and smooth pattern lines, it is a typical piece of painted pottery of Majiayao type
The outstanding feature of Majiayao culture is that the painted pottery is particularly developed, and can be divided into three types, namely Majiayao, Banshan and Machang, representing three development periods. The painted pottery of Majiayao type has the shapes of pots, pots, bottles, bowls, pots, etc., most of which are fine mud and orange-yellow pottery. The surface of the pottery is polished smooth, and most of them are painted with black color, such as stripes, dots, ripples, swirls, checkered patterns, human face patterns, frog patterns, dance patterns, etc., with strict composition and skillful brushwork. The pattern design adopts the method of point positioning, so that the picture can be fully expanded and freely changed, with a strong sense of rhythm
Up to now, the ancient motif on the painted pottery of Majiayao culture still has its charm, and the rhythmic sense generated by the smooth lines still brings us the enjoyment of beauty
