Wang Yuanqi (1642-1715) was born in Taicang, Jiangsu Province. The word Maojing is called Lutai. The grandson of Wang Shimin, born in a painting family, was one of the four great painters in the Qing Dynasty. This axis was made in the thirty ninth year of Kangxi (1700). On the New Year’s Eve of that year, friends Jiang Tianyuan, Zhang Zhizhao and Wu Li visited by boat. Reunion of old friends on holidays, and make plans to record their affairs. The ink is exquisite, the color is elegant and simple, and the paper is full of smart air. It is his middle-aged masterpiece.
