Jin Tingbiao (died in 1767), a scholar named Coyett, was born in Wucheng (now Wuxing, Zhejiang). His father, Jin Hong, was also good at painting, and the court marked the young as inheritors of family learning. In 1760 AD, when Emperor Gaozong was making a southern tour, he entered the book of plain drawing Arhat, called it the imperial edict, and entered the inner court to worship it.
