- Image Number: K1D000583N000000000PAB
- Dynasty: Qing dynasty
- Category: Miscellaneous objects
- Function: Container and magic tool
- Material: Minerals/Metals/Silver
- Description:
It may be an 18th century Tibetan work. Long flow kettle. The body of the pot is close to the pot reed style, and the shoulder is wide and flat. Flat bottom. With cover, tighten with screw pattern. One side long flow, with a flap at the flow port. The silver inside is bright and clean. The outer wall is covered with fine grid patterns. Gold plated flowers and fruits, lake rocks, birds and animals, insects and butterflies are welded and pasted on it. The layout is like a painting. The carvings are exquisite, not like those in the Central Plains. The themes of peach fruits, chrysanthemums, pomegranates, deer, ganoderma lucidum and bamboo branches are taken from the auspicious implication of Han people. This pot was originally put in a printed cloth cover, which seems to indicate that it came from Qinghai or Xinjiang.
