    The scum bucket has a wide mouth, a wide neck, a big belly and a round foot. Light green glaze is applied inside the vessel, glass white is applied on the outer wall, and then green glaze is covered. The outline and veins of chrysanthemum, okra, cinnamon twigs and myna are outlined with ink color. The leaves and flowers are left blank and rendered with different shades of ink, which is vivid and detailed. A circle of gold is painted along the mouth, and a regular script of “Da Ya Zhai” in the red script and a seal of “Tian Di Yi Jia Chun” in the oval sea double dragons are printed below, with four characters of “Yongqing Changchun” written on the bottom. The porcelain with these three names is called “Daya Zhai” porcelain, which was made by Empress Dowager Cixi in order to celebrate her 40th birthday and ordered Jiujiang Prefecture (Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province) to make samples. Chrysanthemum, sunflower and sweet scented osmanthus represent auspicious gifts in the third autumn, fully demonstrating the auspicious meaning of celebrating longevity.
