  • Description:
The olive bottle popular in the Yongzheng Dynasty was thought to be the shape of the Guanyin statue evolved from the Kangxi Dynasty. The olive bottle of Yongzheng Guan Kiln can be divided into two styles: the rim and the bottom of the olive bottle are outward, the belly is slender, the center of gravity is high, and the bottom of the olive bottle is flat, the center of gravity is low. This piece undoubtedly belongs to the former. White glaze is applied to the inside and outside of the utensil, and copper red glaze is applied to the outside of the utensil. The bottom of the utensil is flat, and the feet are shallow cut. The outside bottom is decorated with regular script, which is made in the Yongzheng era of the Qing Dynasty. Although the red glaze is slightly dark in color, it is not as bright as Xuande’s ruby red, but it is also uniform and transparent. It can be regarded as a newly fired work of Yongzheng Official Kiln that imitates the red glaze of Xuande Kiln of the Ming Dynasty.
