There are three pairs of earrings (hence 8578~8580). The upper end is decorated with a silk dragon head and two East pearls are decorated with a coral cap in Longkou. A lapis lazuli ring is placed between them, and the end is decorated with a green receptacle. The earrings with arc shaped hooks are also called “tongs”. Manchu aristocratic women have the custom of wearing three pincers with one ear through three holes. According to the dress system of the Qing Dynasty, when the empress wore a dress, she wore three pieces of earrings on her ears, each decorated with a “golden dragon with a first class East Pearl”. The three pairs of earrings in a group are equipped with wooden boxes and yellow damask, showing the appearance of the three clamp earrings stored and collected in the Qing Palace.
