  • Description:
It is made of antique jade cong, with a round mouth, a short neck, a flat shoulder and a folded edge, and a round foot. The four corners of the body are decorated with six sections of modified Eight Diagrams patterns. The fetal bone is thick, the glaze is azure, and is full of cracks. The sole of the foot is exposed and coated with light ochre body protecting glaze. The blue and white seal script of “made in the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty” is printed on the bottom. Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Cong shaped bottle, also known as “Yarrow bottle”, can also be used as yarrow or divination bamboo for divination. In the courtyard, Chen Shihui (1680-1758) of the Qing Dynasty painted the album of the Holy Emperor, Emperor Shanduan, Emperor Shenzong of the Song Dynasty (hence painting 03132-9). In the hall, square incense burners and celadon eight trigrams six section cong bottles were placed on the brown lacquered wooden square table. Two pink lotus flowers, one white lotus and one lotus leaf, are scattered in the bottle. The overall layout is “high on the left and low on the right”, which is the pattern of literati flowers in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
