  • Description:
Both Ruyi Ear Flat Pots have small round mouth, short neck, flat abdomen, flat bottom and no feet, and are connected with Ruyi Ear on the neck and shoulder. Both necks are decorated with bamboo leaves. A plum blossom is painted on both sides of the belly of the flat pot with flower and bird patterns. The white headed man perches on the pot and is decorated with bamboo branches between them; Both sides of the belly of the flat pot depict fruits, branches and leaves. Compared with Ruyi flat jug in Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, the flat jug in Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty was larger, its abdomen was more rounded, and its glaze was slightly grayish blue. The biggest difference is that most of the flat pots in the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty were connected from top to bottom, while the works in the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty were connected from front to back. Therefore, the exposed place of the foot on the ground was more like an olive, showing the age difference of craft habits.
