  • Description:
During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, the bronze red glaze was the most outstanding, commonly known as “Langyao Red” and “Langhong”. Langhong is more refined than the bright red of the official kilns of the Ming Dynasty. Copper red glaze fired at high temperature has great difficulties in hair color and purity of glaze color, which must be overcome. Common copper red glaze is either red burnt out, blackened, or multi bubble, dark spot and green. Kangxi Lang Kiln is bright red, as beautiful as ruby. The shape of this bottle is extravagant, short neck, large shoulders, long belly and short legs. It is commonly known as “Guanyin Zun”. The outer wall is hung with copper red glaze. The glaze has a little fluidity, so that the mouth edge is thin and the foot ring has accumulated glaze. The glaze at the accumulated glaze is dark. The red color of the mouth is burned off, which is a common phenomenon in the Kangxi Lang kiln red. The glaze has colorless, thin and long grains, and irregular ice cracks. The glaze has brown eyes and bright and sparse bubbles. Inside
