- Description:
Tea powder glaze is a new characteristic glaze color in Yongzheng period. This flower has a long neck, a round belly, a concave bottom and a shallow foot. One side of the body is provided with a tail curling dragon shaped handle connecting mouth edge and the abdomen, and the other side of the mouth edge protrudes outward to form a flow. It is known that a piece of flower from Xuande period is called “Huadou”, following the name of the Qing Palace. The design of tea powder glaze flower gate along the prominent flow makes watering more convenient. In terms of the handle type, the object of its inheritance and imitation should be the blue and white flower pattern Long’er flower pouring in the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty. From the volume of “Antique Painting”, which depicts Emperor Yongzheng’s collection of porcelain and other antiques, you can see a blue and white dragon ear flower pouring, which may be the inspiration for its shape.
