  • Description:
Take a thick piece of ivory, and make it into a scroll with two ends rolled up and the center part of the painting. The center part of the painting is highly embossed with a bearded old man standing on the water side pond with a child, looking up at the sun set off by the clouds; The boy behind the old man was not interested in the rising sun and looked back at the bamboos; There are plum blossoms blooming on the mountain wall behind them, and pine trees stretching horizontally above them. The upper right part of the picture is engraved with a verse in black script: “Glory lights up the Shaohai, and color Xu celebrates the heavy wheel.” The lower incised seal script is filled with the red two seals: “Like the sun”, “Rising”. The back of the scroll is flat for the wrist and arm to lean on, but it is also inlaid with colorful jade, amber, malachite, conch, coral, etc., and decorated with peach, plum, bean pod, water chestnut and other fruits. The four axle heads of the scroll are also decorated with small amber pieces. As the arm rest, this device is no longer imitated into the shape of a bamboo slice, but also in the form of a picture scroll, so the back of the painting does not need to be raised. From its shape and decoration, it is very artistic in Suzhou, and inlaid with various colors of stone, showing the royal flavor, or it was made by the cooperation of northern and southern tooth craftsmen who served the imperial court from the late Kangxi period to the Qianlong period.
