- Description:
Open market, folding edge, shallow wall, flat bottom, short circle foot. The whole instrument is decorated with green and blue colored patterns. The center and four corners of the plate are painted with geometric patterns of the nine palace grid, and the surrounding area is filled with colorful tangled lotus and small flowers. The flat coating of colored materials or the stacking of some high paintings are the characteristics of pastels in the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods of the Qing Dynasty. The feet are cut flat to expose the white body. The outer bottom of the utensil is painted with lake green glaze, and the bottom center is left with a six character seal script of “made in Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty” in white. A painting of “A Beautiful Scene in the Sky” (hence painting 02055) by Yuan people in the courtyard depicts the scene of soy sauce playing during the Dragon Boat Festival. The colorful plate on the yellow ground depicted in the painting should be a type of porcelain in the Qing Dynasty, which also indicates the era of the painting. There are zongzi, pomegranate, lychee, waxberry and other Dragon Boat Festival food in the plate. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, large plates were used as flower vessels, which were all related to the display of various vegetables and fruits, such as “bergamot” (hence porcelain 18064) and “peach” (hence porcelain 18062).
