- Description:
The bottle has a long neck and sloping shoulders. It has a rich upper part and a tight lower part. It is decorated with a circle of chrysanthemum petal patterns near the bottom. Apply blue glaze, and the glaze color is clean and elegant. The foot shows the white fetus, and the heart of the outsole is printed with blue and white seal script “made in Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty”. According to Gao Lian of the Ming Dynasty’s Zunsheng Bajian, The Three Tales of Vases and Flowers, celadon and white porcelain were the first choice for literati to choose bottles in the Song Dynasty, and this kind of “people with big belly and solid body… need to fold the redundant branches and spread them around.” The flower patterns described by Gao Zi continued to appear in the Qing Dynasty. For example, in the late Qing Dynasty, Wu Zhang painted the “axis of good luck in everything” (hence painting 02907). Plum branches in a blue and white porcelain bottle with a large belly were oblique and redundant. White camellia were placed in an unequal triangular shape at different heights. Narcissus leaves lined the chassis. Persimmons, lilies and Ruyi are placed around the vase to express the auspicious homonym of “everything goes well”. Similar celadon vases are also used for planting herbs
