Wu Li (1632-1718 AD), named Yushan, was born in Changshu, Jiangsu Province. In the prime of his life, Wang Shimin and Wang Jian worked on the art of painting. Their paintings were different from those of the Song and Yuan Dynasties. They were famous as their teachers and were known as “Four Wangs and Wu Yun”. They were one of the six painters in the early Qing Dynasty. His paintings are good at overlapping mountains, and the momentum is thick and gloomy.
