  • Description:
    The descendants of Wandai Gold Gourd is a pair of hollowed out gold-plated flowers (hence Miscellaneous 2521~2522), each of which is formed by splicing the upper and lower sections. The joint is carved with roe ground flower and leaf patterns. There is a peduncle on the top, with vivid leaves attached. The bottom is slightly concave and carved with five petals of flowers. The pattern extends from this center, and the large and small gourds are intertwined with the flowers and leaves, all around. The neck is engraved with bat patterns, “auspicious”, “longevity”, “swastika” and the characters of Tuanshou, which symbolize the continuity of melons, good luck and longevity for generations to come, and is equipped with red sandalwood carved melons.
