- Image Number: K1C006500N000000000PAB
- Dynasty: Qing dynasty
- Category: Jades
- Function: Stationery
- Material: Minerals/Jade Jewelry/Jade
- Description:
It is a bluish white jade, and the edge is stained brown. The whole vessel is carved into a short and fat fish shape along the shape of the jade itself, with its tail fin cocking upward. The fish’s mouth holds a bud lotus flower. The curly lotus leaf wraps around the dorsal fin, and the lotus bud extends from the lower part of the caudal fin. Because the sound of “lotus” is the same as that of “Lian”, the auspicious meaning of “more than one year in a row” is taken. The fish body of this tool is mostly white jade, and the lotus body is carved in the Qinse area, which is a work of skillful carving.
