  • Description:
This pressure ruler is a work of the Qianlong Dynasty. It is exquisitely made and is full of pictures. It was also a major feature of the Qianlong Dynasty that ancient patterns were deformed and geometricalized. On the premise of inheriting the basic style of the previous generation’s ruler, the ivory dragon pattern ruler emphasizes more on the volume of the “button”. Long buttons that are almost as long as the ruler’s body are carved into a large and small dragon shape. The dragon head has an ancient and clumsy expression. The dragon body is simplified into a round vortex of large and small sizes, which continues in front of and flows round, while the ruler’s body is relatively solid and thick.
