Chuan Ji (about 1626-1705) was a descendant of the Ming royal family, originally named Zhu Da, who was born in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. After the death of the Ming Dynasty, he became a monk and later converted to Taoism. Paintings use ink and capital symbols, especially flowers and birds. It is concise, personifies the images, and uses symbolic techniques to express the meaning, creating a unique style of borrowing things to express feelings.
