Zhou Kun, named Tianchi, was born in Changshu, Jiangsu Province. Painting inherits family studies, landscapes and figures. He entered the painting academy in the second year of Qianlong’s reign (1737), returned to his hometown for treatment due to illness in the eighth year of Qianlong’s reign (1743), and returned to the palace for worship in the eleventh year of Qianlong’s reign (1746).
