Description:
Low mouth, deep arc wall, flat bottom, short circle foot. The white glaze inside the vessel has no grain, and the outer wall is painted with green bamboo. The decorative patterns are all blue and white with hooks, and green color is filled in the back. Some leaf tips are filled with red color to show that the bamboo leaves are withered and yellow. The fetal bone is a little heavy, and the fetal ground is bright, smooth and transparent. The blue and white book “made in the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty” on the bottom of the utensil is in six character three line regular script, with two side frames. The shape and decoration of Yongzheng Doucai ware are simple and elegant, and the glaze is beautiful and refined. This small bowl was used by Emperor Yongzheng as a “tea circle” for sipping tea. It was originally an item of the “tea warehouse” of the Forbidden City. The ware has a yellow label “eight green bamboo tea cups on white ground”. In the Yongzheng period, as recorded in the Qing Palace Office Work Plan, most tea bells were called “Tea Circles”. However, in the late Qing Dynasty, there were also those who were called “Tea Cups” with different names.
