The gold plated glass hairpin is inlaid with five colors. The hairpin head is inlaid with square wing shaped pieces of red, green, purple and white cut glass, and the central part is inlaid with blue cut glass at the head and tail. The tired little tiger coiled on the hairpin head inlay. Wearing Aihu ornaments is one of the customs of the Dragon Boat Festival. People in the Song Dynasty described it as “a hairpin with Aihu to avoid evil spirits”. This hairpin inlaid glass is well molded and colorful, with slightly different section sizes, showing the manufacturing traces.
