- Description:
Blue transparent glass with hexagonal water, short neck and sloping shoulders, bulging belly and flat bottom. The mouth and bottom are square, and the bottom is engraved with “made in the year of Yongzheng” regular script on both sides. The blue glass color presents rich layers due to section reflection, with a few bubbles inside, clear cutting angle and sharp lines. It is an exquisite piece of monochrome glass in the Yongzheng period. This work was originally stored in a carved lacquered rectangular box (hence Miscellaneous 620) in the Heart nourishing Hall of the Qing Palace.
