Shining (1688-1766) Italian. At the age of 19, he became a Catholic Jesuit monk, learning painting and architecture. He came to China to preach at the age of 27 and was summoned to the inner court to worship. He is good at painting people, flowers and birds, especially horse landscape painting, which is achieved by blending western painting techniques. The stereoscopic feeling of rocks, trees and houses is more obvious than that of traditional ones.
