The cup has a wide mouth, narrow lips, curved deep wall, and the bottom connects with the foot. Two blue lines are painted on the inside and outside of the mouth and on the foot wall, with no lines on the inner wall and glossy ganoderma at the bottom. A diamond grid is drawn in the middle of the outer wall, and eight trigrams and grass are filled in. The upper and lower parts are decorated with wind and fire patterns. The cloud head is painted around the bottom and the pattern is filled in. On the outsole, there is a six character blue and white regular script made in Jiajing year of the Ming Dynasty. Seven pieces handed down were stored in a cylindrical wooden box. The outer surface of the wooden box is embossed with two broken branches of plum blossoms. On the top of the pattern is added one of the words of Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty, “Every winter month, I often write several branches of cold plum blossoms, because they form two short sentences.”. The content of the poem is: “Suoxiao patrols the eaves with the most intimate feeling, and still meets the people who make beads. It is just like being an old man on the side of a lonely mountain, which can bring good luck every year.”. At the end of the poem, there was an inscription of “Bingyin Winter Imperial Title” (1746, the 11th year of Qianlong’s reign), with a seal of “Bide”.
