Green glass chessmen, flat bottom and circular arc, are bright and translucent. Each is equipped with a round bottom square box painted with black paint and gold. According to the archives of the Qing Dynasty, during the reign of Emperor Qianlong, the glass factory was ordered to burn sixteen color chess pieces, and there were also records of officials presenting black and white two color glass Go pieces.
