- Description:
He Qingtai (1735-1814), a French, lived in Italy for a long time. He joined the Jesuit Church in 1756. He came to China in the 35th year of Qianlong’s reign (1770) and painted in the Qing Palace in the 37th year (1772). He Qingtai was instructed to paint in oil painting, and he also worked with Ai Qimeng to revise Xu Yang’s painting of “Victory in Calming Jinchuan”. Although this picture of the yellow eagle is similar to Lang Shining’s eagle painting pattern, which depicts the eagle standing on a trellis, its delicacy and vividness are slightly inferior to Ai Qimeng’s delicate realistic style. The yellow eagle painted on this axis was introduced by Horqin Baylor in the 56th year of Qianlong (1791).
