    This device imitates the ear jar of the late Shang Dynasty with Hetian jade, but it is slightly slender; Carve animal face patterns at the neck, feet and ears, and carve the hui pattern to fill the ground. The abdomen is engraved with imperial poems of Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty. The Complete Collection of Imperial Poems and Essays of Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty contains notes to supplement that the device is “imitated from the Western Qing Dynasty Ancient Mirror” and “Zhou Kui Pattern Pot”. The device is inscribed with the title of Emperor Qianlong’s Second Reign (1775). At the bottom of the device is a copy of the ancient style of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty.
