  • Description:
There are eight pieces of carved ivory bone inlaid with gold and silver wire (226~233). They are decorated with gold and silver wire inlaid with such geometric patterns as a dragon, an alien animal, a cloud pattern, a dragon and a beast pattern, or other geometric patterns. Each piece has four double circle patterns, and the seal script is inlaid with gold wire “made in the year of Qianlong” or “used by Qianlong”. This set of wrenches is packed in a red sandalwood cover box with a special shape. Its appearance is three animal feet. The cover is full of interlaced intaglio patterns filled with golden dragon patterns. The inside of the cover is a three-layer box with three wrenches in each layer. The production of the ring itself and the carving and modeling design of the outer box all show the characteristics of sculpture, metal inlaying technology and packaging art in the Qing Dynasty.
