The flat glass square mirror is inlaid in the annatto frame carved boxwood rotary shaft type album box. On the right side of the mirror, the blue inlaid floor is decorated with auspicious furnishings, including Taoshi Buddha’s Hand on the pattern table, Hemerocallis and Chrysanthemum in the blue glass bottle, and Ruyi, the three jewels placed in front. The outer side of the mirror box is made of boxwood with light relief flower and bird patterns and a moire border. In the 14th year of the Republic of China (1925), the mirror was placed on the side of the mahogany throne of the Heart nourishing Hall of the Forbidden City when the Qing Palace was checked.
