A ruyi handle of brown yellow glass is carved with nine stems of large and small ganoderma lucidum, which are intertwined with each other and shaped like bamboo and wood. The end is decorated with a long knot of yellow braid. The glass matrix is densely covered with gold powder particles. When receiving light, the golden light flashes, like the color texture of emerald. According to the Records of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Qing Dynasty, in the 11th year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1746), the office presented Ruyi eight patterns of different materials, including wax, amber, crystal, sapphire, and Heding red, including Ruyi handle of Venus glass. It can be seen that this special colored glass is highly prized by the court.
