According to the records in the Third Edition of the Collection of Stone Canal Treasures, this painting was originally the October scene in the Painting of the Forbidden Emperor in December. This set of December Scenery was painted by Ding Guanpeng (about 1708-1771 or later), Zhou Kun (active in the first half of the 18th century), Yu Province (about 1692-1767), Shen Yuan (active in 1736-1795), and other painters in the Qianlong period, all of whom are inscribed with Qianlong poems.
