- Description:
This is Lang Shining’s early work. On the seven meter long scroll, it depicts the scene of herding horses in autumn. There are hundreds of horses with different postures, which are relaxing between the grassland and the forest. Through the delicate changes of light and shadow, they show the delicate realism. From the perspective of composition, although the painting continues the traditional pattern of herding horses in China on the one hand, it also fully shows the profound western effect in the layout of mountains, rivers and forests, and the size of horses also changes proportionally. Yuanshan stone painting is more different from traditional Chinese brushwork. It is also used to stack paint on trees.
