- Description:
Yun Shouping (1633-1690 AD) was born in Wujin, Jiangsu Province. At the beginning of the name, the word Shouping was followed by a line of words. It is also called Nantian. Painting flowers is based on the Boneless Method of Xu Chongsi (at the end of the 10th century AD) of the Northern Song Dynasty. It is a new start and is known as the Changzhou School. Yun Shouping’s boneless flowers are often bright and beautiful without gaudy feeling, which makes them feel fresh and pleasant. In this painting, the green color is used to paint thin bamboo, and the ink color is used to paint dead branches and stones, which is a unique combination. The elegant and quiet atmosphere presented by it is calming.
