  • Description:
Copper body painting enamel coral top jar, with four openings on the cover, shoulder and abdomen, respectively decorated with curly leaves, Kui dragons and bats. Inside the opening, there are traditional landscapes with purple red and blue monochrome glazes. The painting shows the scenery of lakes and mountains with high towers and Confucius bridges, which is similar to several real scenes of Suzhou, and may be composed of elements from Suzhou landscapes. The whole vessel has a yellow tangled lotus pattern, a blue painted Kui dragon on the neck, a blue painted phoenix with a peony on the bottom edge of the vessel, and a “Qianlong Year System” with Song typeface blue on the bottom. It also has a gold-plated rolled leaf pattern seat, which has a unique overall shape. The monochrome enamel glaze painting of traditional landscapes can also be seen in the Yongzheng period. However, the combination with Kaiguang color painting is a feature of Qianlong’s enamel painting.
