- Dynasty: Qing dynasty
- Category: Enamel wares
- Function: Drinking utensils, furnishings
- Material: Minerals/Metals/Copper
- Description:
This copper bodied wire pinching enamel ware is a bird squatting on a wheel, with tail feathers and wheels as seats, and bears respect on the back. Its shape is consistent with the “dove cart respect” in the “Ancient Classic of Western Qing Dynasty”. It is a combination of animal and wine vessel shapes. The dove cart once appeared in the tomb paintings of the Han Dynasty. It was a toy for children at that time. However, in the Qing Dynasty, the dove cart statue became a common kind of artifacts in tracing ancient bronzes. Our hospital has several dove cart statues made of different media. Therefore, using pink, black and other enamel glaze materials that appeared after the Qing Dynasty, the filamentary enamel is likely to be a work of the Sheng Qing Dynasty based on its production techniques and style.
