It is a long strip of brown ink, with a ribbed border, rectangular and slightly close to the piano shape. On one side is a poem written in regular script by Qianlong: “The Emperor made the Broken Bridge with snow, the Geng Zi (1780). The ten sceneries are singing happily, and the Broken Bridge without snow is like a snowfield. Look at the four character inscription, and see how the three white mountains are different.” On the other side, the house landscape is modeled. According to Qianlong’s poems, this picture depicts the famous scenery of the West Lake, “Broken Bridge and Broken Snow”. On the ink side, there is a regular script of “made in the year of Qianlong”. This ink, together with the other nine colored inks, represents one scene of the West Lake, forming a set of “Ten Scenes of the West Lake”, all stored in one box.
