Sharp head Gui shaped white ink, edged border. On one side was a poem written by Qianlong in regular script in gold: “At spring dawn, the emperor made Su Dike, the Geng Zi (1780). For thousands of years, the Long Dike was only surnamed Su, and the herdsmen thought about Yin Wu. The spring breeze was fifteen times more serious, and the excerpts were worthy of this lake.” On the other side, the house landscape is modelled. According to Qianlong’s poems, this picture depicts the famous scenery of the West Lake, “Spring Dawn at Su Causeway”. On the ink side, there is a regular script of “made in the year of Qianlong”. This ink, together with the other nine colored inks, represents one scene of the West Lake, forming a set of “Ten Scenes of the West Lake”, all stored in one box.
