Rectangular red ink, concave at four corners, with arris on the border, and the arris is full of decorative patterns. On one side is a poem written in gold script by Qianlong: “The emperor made the autumn moon in Pinghu Lake, Gengzi (1780). The new water in Pinghu Lake is as green as oil. Dipping into the dike, the willow is as soft as a wisp. The bottom is more spring and autumn than the moon. The scenery of several nights flows by one side.” On the other side, the house landscape is modeled. According to Qianlong’s poems, this picture depicts the famous scenery of the West Lake, “Autumn Moon in Pinghu Lake”. On the ink side, there is a regular script of “made in the year of Qianlong”. This ink, together with the other nine colored inks, represents one scene of the West Lake, forming a set of “Ten Scenes of the West Lake”, all stored in one box.
