In May, the seedlings were growing in the fields, and it was still early to harvest. There was a gap in the countryside after a busy time. On May 5, Qu Yuan, a national poet, sank into the Miluo River because of his anxiety about national affairs. For thousands of years, he could not open the arms of people’s mourning. The two reasons fit together, so there are folk activities of dragon boat races. Under the painter’s pen, thousands of oars fly in unison, and the drums and banners are roaring. The tense and warm competition attracts people on both sides of the Taiwan Straits to watch by the railing. In the summer season, it calls for a boom. The sunflowers and pomegranates in the garden, as well as the Cangpu on the bank, are not willing to be lonely and compete for victory.
