The brown spots are carved into old pine trunks and rocks. The outer wall of the utensil is embossed with three scholars who travel between mountains and rivers. The four character clerical script “Three Smiles in Tiger Stream” is engraved on the mountain rock. There are water ripples at the bottom. A poem written by Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty in forty years was engraved in regular script along the mouth.
