The content tells that in the Qianlong Dynasty, he had twice pacified Junggar, had to go back to the ministry, twice swept Jinchuan, pacified Taiwan, visited Myanmar and Annan, and twice received ten military exploits from Gurkha. The Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty called himself “the perfect old man”. The article mentions the beginning and end of the second time he accepted Gurkha’s surrender, and compared with Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty. Later on, he was further vigilant that the succeeding monarchs should not lightly practice literature and practice martial arts, so as to abandon their inherent virtues and cannot defend the country.
