Mouth skimming bottle with long neck, round shoulders and tight abdomen, and short legs. The whole utensil is hollowed out to carve geometric tangled lotus, and then covered with transparent glaze of appropriate concentration to fill the hollowed out place. The carved patterns are bright, forming the aesthetic feeling of openwork under the light. This kind of decorative craft originated from Islamic areas and was sampled and fired by Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Factory during the Qianlong Period of the Qing Dynasty. It was a new style of porcelain at that time. Bottles of similar shape have been used as vases since the Yuan Dynasty, as exemplified by Shaanxi murals.
