Ivory carved round box, the box body is full of carved hollow brocade patterns, and the cover can be flexibly moved up and down. The bottom of the box is engraved with a lion rolling hydrangea. A long chain from the hollow of the hydrangea is connected to the center of the cover. The long chain is separated by three small chains, which are engraved with dogs, mother and son monkeys, and hollow gourds. At the bottom of the box is engraved with “Qianlong Wuwu Summer, Xiaohan Zhengong, a young minister.” It can be seen that this piece was made by Xiao Hanzhen, a famous dentist during the reign of Qianlong. It shows the superb and subtle skills of linking and living lines. This ivory small round box was originally a small curio in the “dragon and phoenix box painted with gold” (multi treasure box).
